Available through the Halo Waypoint, the service is similar to Microsoft’s other Insider programs. If you unfamiliar with those programs, they allow users to test upcoming features for Microsoft products. In return for these early access features, users provide Microsoft with feedback on the service. This is important for the company because it means fixes can be issued for problems ahead of the launch of a feature. “The Halo Insider Program is the new way Halo fans and community members can partner with 343 Industries to improve our games, products, and services,” Microsoft notes. “As a Halo Insider, you’ll have the opportunity to regularly provide feedback and insights that help shape and inform current franchise initiatives and the future of Halo. You will also be given exclusive opportunities to participate in public [releases] of in-progress Halo game releases and provide feedback to the development teams.”

Expanding Service

The Master Chief Collision is a bundle package that offers all legacy Halo games, including Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. Now that Microsoft has opened a Halo Insider Program, we suspect Halo 5: Guardians will also reach the Master Chief Collection eventually.
